Hello, dear Dolores Library Family!

 

On Thursday, we kicked off the Summer Reading Challenge with a (quite epic) water balloon fight at Joe Rowell Park! A huge thank you to the Dolores Little Bears PTA, Friends of the Dolores Library, Town of Dolores, Rotary, Dolores Food Market, and Dolores Bike Hostel for their support. We're pretty confident the 150+ kiddos who showed up had a blast! 🏃‍♀️💦

 

It’s Time to Sign Up for the Summer Reading Challenge!

This year's nationwide theme is…UNEARTH A STORY! 🦖🦴

 

You can sign up at the library or click here to register online. We have options for everyone!

• Baby dino bingo for ages 1-5
• Classic minutes/pages tracker for ages 6-12
• Board game tracker for tweens and teens 12+
• And (because Jillian would never leave out the grown-ups), adults can pick up a summer reading bingo board at the library!!

 

Remember: Reading looks different for everyone. Being read to, listening to audiobooks, and flipping through picture books all count! 📚 You can submit your minutes/pages online throughout the summer using this link, or you can submit them all at once when the challenge ends.

All are welcome to join us on July 31st for the🏌️‍️End of Summer Reading Mini Golf Celebration⛳! Kiddos can turn in their trackers, pick up their prizes, and play mini golf inside and outside the library!

Check out the attached flyer for our Friday events! If your child wants to join a Friday program, give us a call at (970) 882-4127, or come in to register. No sign-up needed for the DPL 70th Birthday Party, Fossil Frenzy Science Festival, or Mini Golf Celebration…unless you'd like an email reminder the Wednesday before!
