Join us from June 5th through July 23rd for the 2023 Summer Reading Program!

The Dolores Public Library offers a youth (0-17) and a grown-up (18+) program.

There is no cost, and everyone is welcome to participate!

Register below to participate in the reading challenge.

  • Youth: Record reading minutes on reading logs you submit at your convenience at the library, or online at All youth participants will receive books and prizes at the end. The reader with the most minutes in each age range (0-5, 6-12, and 13-17) will win a special grand prize.
  • Grown-ups: Features a reading challenge card with a checklist of different types of books to read. Each book read earns an entry to win one of two $100 gift cards to Kelly's Kitchen.

Read to yourself, to someone else, be read to, listen to audiobooks... All reading counts!

Visit the library to participate in the activities. A new take-and-make activity for kids will be available every week to pick-up at your leisure. Mondays at 10:30a, Storytime for preschoolers will have an "All Together Now" related theme. Fridays at 1p the library will host an event.
