Join Our Board!

We invite you to help shape the future of the Dolores Library District. This is a great opportunity to join a vital organization interested in serving the greater Dolores community. The Board needs a member who will value the mission of the library, who can communicate and advocate for the library, and who will embrace planning for the future. We need your passion, judgment, commitment, integrity and open mindedness. This is an opportunity for you to represent the Dolores community with pride.
The Board meets at 6:00 pm on the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings typically last two hours. Most trustees spend no more than a few hours a month on trustee-related responsibilities.
The Board has no fund-raising responsibilities.
A trustee must be a resident in the Dolores Library District, which encompasses the same area as the Dolores School District (if you are not familiar with the district boundaries please call the library). Terms are three years and start at the annual meeting, which is in January of each year. If you would like to learn more about what’s involved with serving as a trustee ask our Board President Sandra Jumper by emailing sandra@doloreslibrary.org or stop by the Circ Desk!
